SME investment funds
For an established Walloon SME looking for €500,000 to €2.5M without giving up control, I put ORSA (formerly Investsud) first, ahead of the provincial invests, then Wallonie Entreprendre, finance&invest.brussels and Theodorus. This ranking compares nine players on what they publish themselves: ticket size, instruments, exit horizon and area. All data was collected from their own websites on 15.10.2026; anything they do not publish is marked "not published".
Disclosure: this site features ORSA, and I rank it first. I justify that with verifiable facts that ORSA publishes itself: an evergreen fund with no imposed exit date, equity or quasi-equity on offer, and a ticket of €500,000 to €2,500,000 designed for SMEs of 20 to 150 people. None of the players listed reviewed this ranking, and none paid to appear at any rank other than its own.
An investment fund does not publish a price. What changes a business owner's life is the share of capital they give up, the moment the investor will want to sell, and the seat it takes on the board. That is what this ranking is about.
